OASIS Center International Partners with Roosevelt High School to Inspire Students Through the Arts
“The Oasis Center is thrilled to work with Roosevelt High to inspire students with opportunities to explore and experience the arts,” said Jin Sung, Executive Director of OASIS Center International. “The Oasis Arts Project enriches students’ lives and our communities through art which promotes greater imagination, visualization and expression in constructive ways.”
The OASIS Arts Project provides students with free opportunities to learn digital arts, digital literacy, and financial literacy from professional instructors provided by OASIS. Digital arts classes introduce students to graphic drawing tablets and cutting-edge industry graphic design software. OASIS’s unique approach helps students experience an online classroom environment taught by professional artists and learn how to create print-on-demand products.
The Digital Literacy Workshop empowers students to excel in the ever-changing technology landscape, digital economy, and job market. This workshop introduces students to digital privacy and security using the internet to conduct research to identify misinformation, combat cyberbullying, build a healthy self-image and digital reputation, and cultivate positive relationships.
Lastly, the Financial Literacy Workshop's design encourages students to engage in e-commerce by marketing their designs and artwork on merchandise so they may use a designated web store to sell their work online. Students will make informed financial decisions to promote financial well-being over their lifetime.
